Biography
Junip was formed in Gothenburg, Sweden in the late ’90s by José González (guitar, vocals), Elias Araya (drums) and Tobias Winterkorn (organ, moog). The heavy prog-folk band that sounds like it’s playing in outer space has been on hiatus as González’s solo-career made a splash. They released Black Refuge EP at the end of 2005, and after five years, announced they were working on a new album “Rope and Summit” for which the EP is currently available online for free.
