Biography
The Black Keys are a blues-rock music duo consisting of vocalist/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer/producer Patrick Carney. Formed in 2001, the pair began by tackling the Akron, OH music scene and hit it big with their 2003 breakthrough “Thickfreakness.”
Released May 18th, “Brothers” is the group’s seventh album. It showcases the band’s transition into “record-collecting studio wizards in search of the greatest grooves and sweetest sounds.” Remaining true to their roots, Brothers still shows that “Auerbach possesses an uncanny ability to say things with a guitar one can’t believe have been unexpressed before.” – Spectrum
