Biography
Chicago based recording artist Alice Peacock’s first independent release “Real Day” earned national attention and received a “Top Ten Independent Artists of the Year” from Amazon.com; her follow-up album “Alice Peacock” featured the hit “Bliss”, a duet with John Mayer and “Who I Am”, her current recording, recalls the golden age of singer-songwriter pop — the album cover was even shot by legendary rock photographer Henry Diltz.
In addition to touring extensively as a solo artist and with other artists including John Mellancamp, Amiee Mann, Toad The Wet Sprocket and Heart among others, Peacock has made many TV and radio stops including a special guest spot on the popular radio show “Prairie Home Companion”. Besides her musical pursuits, Alice is very socially conscious artist. She is President of the Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (GRAMMYS), which serves the Midwest region and the founder of Rock For Reading, an Illinois non-profit organization, which raises awareness and resources for reading and literacy programs through high profile music concerts.
