Biography
Raised by musicians, Janalee Swain has spent most of her life as a student of sound. Although the majority of her background is as a Jazz pianist, in 2001 her musical spectrum expanded when she began collaboration with the brothers Heneghan forming the band soon to be known as MayaVada. Since that time, Janalee has used music as a medium for self discovery. Her more recent collaborations with socially conscious hip-hop artist Momo Smitt and her simultaneous induction into the passionate world of Argentine Tango are the inspirations behind the release of her new solo E.P. “Learning To See In The Dark”.
