Biography

Dead Rock West incorporates elements of country-rock, power-pop jangle, and straight-ahead rock ‘n’ roll to create an eclectic sound that captivates and excites. On their debut album Honey and Salt, Cindy Wasserman (vocals, tambourine) and Frank Lee Drennen (vocals, guitar, harmonica) create vocal harmonies that stand out from the beginning, as the rich, silky melodies capture the essence of the band’s already impressive sound; adding subtle nuances of raw emotion to the accomplished songwriting. Dead Rock West has toured with legendary bands such as John Doe, Wilco, The Knitters, and Mark Olson, garnering a loyal audience. Honey and Salt has had solid reviews and international radio play; three of their songs have been featured on the American TV show “Men In Trees.”

“The best music tends to hit a listener from seemingly out of nowhere, fully formed and ready to infiltrate the psyche. Of course even the newest discovery has paid their dues somewhere, which means there are often real treasures often right under our very noses. So it is with Dead Rock West.” – Frank Lee Drennen (lead singer, Dead Rock West)
