Sal Casabianca

Biography

A native of Queens, Sal’s musical style is an eclectic blend of pop, rock, blues, jazz and folk delivered with a raw energy not usually found in a solo artist. His musical experience is just as diverse: he’s gone from writing acid house music to playing guitar in a drag queen funk and soul band to being signed to a major label to begging for gigs for no money and warm beer. But that never stopped him from writing and performing music… for him, music is a creative outlet as necessary as breathing: “I don’t remember why I picked the guitar, but it has proven to be the most important decision I ever made in my life.”
