Best of September 2020

We’re so deep in the weeds right now, aren’t we?

Too much news, too many disasters, too many surprises, too many points of view, too many emotions. Things are open-ended. No decisions. No closure. We’re gasping for air in a fire hose of bad news and grasping for a buoy of bliss to raise our head above the water for a deep blissful breath or two. Maybe music can help? I have something new for you.

We’re bringing back a monthly playlist series that we used to do. It’s simple, to the point, digestable, and I hope it provides a drop of comfort in your storm. It’s the Best of the Month playlist. On the last Friday of each month we’re giving you 25 tracks of the best new music released that month. It’s not too much, it’s not everything, it’s not that. Rather, it’s a few morsels, some diamonds in the rough, a tidbit, a recess.

this week's playlist: Best of SEP 2020

I handpick each track based on a variety of things: a new artist you need to know, a new album I’m obsessed with, important lyrics with a message… or a great beat that will make you dance or a music video that takes you away for a minute. Whether you have time to keep up with music right now, whether you’re a superfan or a casual music fan… these playlists are for YOU. They’re curated for comfort.

Enjoy our newest playlist “Best of SEP 2020” (click to listen on Spotify.) Do any of the tracks speak to you? If you find even one new artist or song you love, then we’ve shared new music discovery together…

And that’s my mission.
